non-confrontational cowboy that wont turn around after the 10 paces
he just breaks into a sprint and nobody has ever been able to hit him because he serpentines so well
“This town ain’t big enough for the two of us”
Non-confrontational cowboy: “SURE AINT!” *sprints away*
i think the hardest part about this job is not being able to say What The Fuck
being gender nonconforming is great bc straight people think i'm edgy and intimidating but lgbt people see me and immediately think i'm friend shaped :)
New gender: comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable
my singing voice is good for showers and mornings in the kitchen and drunken nights and lullabies for babies who need sleep and im okay with this
i think it’s silly to be ashamed of your art because it’s not in a museum and of your voice because it’s not selling out stadiums. there will always be people who enjoy and appreciate what you can do.
Idk why but this hit me really hard and I’ve been staring at it for a couple minutes.
This also rewards kids who come from stable homes where a caregiver reliably wakes them up on time, has fresh clothes at the ready, the utilities are turned on, food is prepared and available, and helps get the kid to the bus bus/in their car/on the way at the correct time.
Kids who spend days traveling to see parents in prison, who are shuffled around because their parents hourly work schedule is hectic, or who live in food insecure homes can’t meet this bar.
And that’s before we even address the issue of foster children. In many jurisdictions family courts require children to attend visits with parents, court cases, or other appointments during business (aka, school) hours.
I guess if school is training children to understand that privilege gets rewarded they are doing an excellent job.
It also doesn’t account for any life events that might come up as well—like a death in the family, for example.
The system creates this expectation that the “job” comes first over everything else, no matter what, which is part of the unhealthy work environment in the US that harshly restricts time off for any reason.

Greg Davies and Alex Horne smile, as Aisling continues, “…why my maths are shit.” End ID.]
